This session will include the following components:

9:00am – 9:50am - Build a Researcher Profile:

  • Author identifiers – Publons/Researcher ID & ORCID
  • Set up your Web of Science ResearcherID account
  • Claim publications to your ResearcherID account
  • Add your publications to ResearcherID
  • Transfer publications between ResearcherID and ORCID
  • Search Web of Science by ResearcherID or ORCID
  • Understand how to export information from your Researcher Profile (create a list of publications)
  • Learn to calculate total citations, citation trend data and h-index
  • Learn which citation indicators to use at a researcher level

*9:50am - 10:00am - Break

10:00am – 11:00am - Identify Collaborators:

  • Learn which authors are writing the most papers on your topic
  • Identify the authors of Highly Cited and Hot Papers on your topic
  • Discover the authors of the most influential papers in emerging areas of research
  • See which authors have cited you
  • Find the authors with the most citation impact who are writing on your topic

        Understand Your Scholarly Impact:

  • Look at citation counts in Web of Science and analyse the citing articles
  • Determine your h-index in Web of Science
  • Look at citation baselines in Essential Science Indicators
  • Learn about Highly Cited Papers and Hot Papers
  • Examine author performance metrics in InCites Benchmarking & Analytics
  • Learn how much interest your work has generated
